Jason attended Mercer University and graduated in 1997 with highest honors. He also graduated with honors from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2000. Since then, he has specialized in the representation of injured workers in their Workers’ Compensation claims. Jason has also been accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs to represent veterans in claims for veterans’ benefits.
Jason currently serves as the Immediate Past President of the Workers’ Compensation Claimants Lawyers section of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. He also serves on the Executive Committee for the Workers’ Compensation Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
Jason has previously served on the Board of the Georgia Legal Foundation and the Editorial Board for the Verdict, the journal of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. He is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers’ Association, the Workers’ Compensation Section of the State Bar of Georgia and the West Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.
Jason has been a featured speaker at several Workers’ Compensation continuing legal education seminars covering such topics as:
- Catastrophic designation,
- Mediation,
- Contacting medical providers,
- Discovery of Facebook and other social media,
- Housing and vehicle modification,
- Prescription of pain medication, and
- Proving change in condition claims.
Jason has had several articles published on various Georgia workers’ compensation topics including catastrophic designation, discovery and privacy, and case law updates. He publishes Georgia workers’ compensation articles on the Perkins Law Talk blog on a weekly basis.
In his free time, Jason enjoys running, reading and spending time with his wife and two children.
